  • Victoria United FC have lost two and played a draw in their opening three games at home
  • The club is enjoying her return to the big time for the first time in over a decade
  • Cotonsport beat Victoria United FC 1-0 in the reversed fixture in Garoua

Struggling MTN Elite One championship newbie Victoria United FC of Limbe will target their first win in the competition this Saturday when they receive holders Cotonsport of Garoua at the innerbowl of the Limbe Centenary stadium.

Victoria United are winless at home since in their return to the top-flight championship over two months ago.

Homes matches against Stade Renard, UMS of Loum and Fauve Azur Elite have fetched just a point for the club as they try to hit the ground running.

The advance match day 11 fixture of the 2023/24 competition is a very tough one for both sides who will look to improve from the draws in their last outings.

Cotonsport played goalless against Stade Renard of Melong while Victoria stayed at home to record the same score against Fauve Azur.

This Saturday’s context is tailor-made to be exciting especially as Cotonsport’s victory in the reversed fixture was contested by the Victoria United contingent that made it to Garoua.

Hosts Victoria United FC are bottom-placed in their complex pool B while Cotonsport looks to win and stay within touching distance of high-flying Stade Renard of Melong who currently leads the pool.
