Defending Champions of the Cameroon Elite One Championship, Cotonsport of Garoua, have suffered another shocking defeat to Avion Academy of Douala courtesy of a goal from Jules Meyo.
The Bonamoussadi stadium in Douala hosted this crucial Match day 13 encounter pitting re-awakened Avion side to a struggling Coton who have been beaten in their last five campaigns.

Avion FC who are gradually regaining steam, came into this game in search of a second consecutive win after beating Colombe in Yaounde last week, gave Coton a tough time before the 15 minutes break, yet, failed to make use of their chances.

Avion did not have a favoured first round of the competition,which saw them seat amongst the bottom two even before this encounter but in this reverse fixtures, they smashed powerhouses like Eding Sport de Lekie, Colombe of the Dja and Lobo and now reigning champions, Cotonsport of Garoua.
Despite making a few substitutions at the attack line bringing out Ramses Donfack and helpless Patient Wassou for pact little Boubakari Dahiru, Brice Ebondje and Abdouraman Daman, his boys could not get an equalizer.
However, Cotonsport are still two points ahead of Avion despite the disappointing result.
Cotonsport has scored just 11 goals so far in this competition and conceded 10.
