The Atlas Lionesses picked for the 2023 FIFA World Cup in Australia and New Zealand in August will be made public on June 19, at 4:15PM, sources at the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) have confirmed.

Coach Reynard Pedros will announce the 23 girls to represent the rising football nation as they head to their maiden FIFA World Cup tournament.

The squad is expected to be dominated by the established players who helped the country achieve it’s best Africa Cup of Nations ride last year on home soil and a few new faces who have shown enough to earn a chance of representing Morocco lately.

The vice champions of Africa are expected to go to camp for intense preparations once the squad is made public.

Morocco is pooled in World Cup group H alongside South Korea, Colombia and Germany.

They will open their campaign against multiple champions Germany, on July 24. Morocco will face South Korea six days later, before concluding their group stage commitment against Colombia on August 3.
