  • The move follows his recent tour of sporting infrastructures across the country

Marc Brys, the newly-appointed head coach of Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions, has set out on a mission across Europe to scout and persuade top football talents to join the national team.

His journey is crucial for building a robust team that can compete on the world stage, especially with the 2026 World Cup qualifiers on the horizon.

Under the previous coach, Rigobert Song, the team saw the inclusion of internationals Bryan Mbeumo, Olivier Ntcham, Olivier Kemen, Faris Moumbagna, Oumar Gonzalez , Benjamin Elliott, Frank Magri, Darlin Yongwa, Junior Tchamadeu, Malcolm Bokelé et Al.

These players have contributed significantly to the team’s dynamics, and their experience will be invaluable for the newcomers.

As for the new talents, Brys is expected to tap into his extensive network from his coaching stints in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Saudi Arabia.

Potential recruits could include young prodigies playing in top European leagues, who can infuse fresh energy and skill into the Indomitable Lions’ roster.

The Belgian coach is also receptive to the idea of integrating locally-based talent into the team. He acknowledges that there is a place for domestic players in the squad and is enthusiastic about harmonizing their skills with those of internationally-based players.

The football community is eager to see which rising stars will don the Cameroonian jersey under Brys’ tenure.

With no time left, Brys will have to assemble the best squad , suitable to take on upcoming matches against Cape Verde and Angola in the World Cup qualifiers.
