  • Frank Magri’s goal in the final moments of stoppage time (90+5′) propelled Toulouse to a remarkable 3-1 victory over league frontrunners PSG, much to the disappointment of the home fans
  • Magri, who showcased his talents in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, has been instrumental for Toulouse this season, contributing to seven goals—netting five and assisting two—in his 28 appearances
  • The match, which was the season’s 28th league fixture held at the iconic Parc des Princes, gained additional significance as it marked Kylian Mbappe’s last performance in front of the PSG faithful, following his earlier announcement of leaving the club

Frank Magri’s last-minute heroics clinched a 3-1 triumph for Toulouse, casting a shadow over PSG’s aspirations in Kylian Mbappe’s emotional final match at home.

Entering as a substitute with just 11 minutes remaining, the Cameroonian striker found the net in the fifth minute of stoppage time, sending Toulouse fans into raptures. Mbappe, in his poignant farewell at Parc des Princes, scored after masterfully controlling a long pass from goalkeeper Arnau Tenas.

Toulouse quickly equalized thanks to Thijs Dallinga and then took the lead with Yann Gboho’s brilliant strike. Despite the defeat, PSG remains at the summit with 70 points from 32 matches, while Toulouse sits in 10th place with 43 points.

Magri has been a key player for Toulouse, being directly involved in seven goals this season, with five goals and two assists to his name. His national team debut came at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, where he marked his first appearance with a goal against Guinea. However, he has not received a call-up under coach Marc Brys for the world cup qualifiers.
