Farida Machia Machia, Raissa Nanga and Marie Gisele Ngah Manga, are to a greater extend, the brain behind Lekie’s strong start to the 2022/23 Guinness Super League season.
The trio have been involved in at least a goal from day one of the 2022/23 Guinness Super league championship till matchday six encounter.
League leaders, Lekie FF recorded a 3-0 win over Eding FF this Thursday, 9 February in Yaounde. Former AS Awa forward, Farida Machia opened scores, Raissa Nanga scored the second and then Ngah Manga sealed the deal to give Lekie all three points.
Recall that, in matchday five of the ongoing competition staged last weekend, the same trio handed Lekie victory over Louves Minproff.
Farida Machia scored a brace, Raissa Nanga and Ngah Manga scored the other two in Lekie’s 4-1 win.
It would have undoubtedly being a quadruple partnership if Indomitable Lioness forward, Brenda Tabe were around. The goal poacher before her call to the lions Den, was one of the league’s top scorer with three goals in two games.
However, her absence has given way for these three to add to their goal tally.
As it stands, Raissa Nanga and Ngah Manga counts four goals each. More to Raissa’s credit is the fact that, she was the very first Woman of Guinnessico for the 2022/23 Guiness Super league season.
Equally, Ngah Manga was Lekie’s second Woman of Guinnessico this season after contributing to a 3-0 win against AS Fortuna. Meanwhile, Farida Machia has scored three goals so far.
From Lekie’s Matchday day two encounter, these three strikers have been involved in the club’s victories either with a goal or assist till day six.
Despite being in fine form this season, Manga was unfortunately dropped from the final list of Indomitable Lionesses selected for the FIFA women’s World Cup playoffs.
Coach Stephane Ndzana however, has these three to thank for engineering Lekie’s success so far this season.
