An in-form Jules Armand Kooh has expressed desires to see his side Les Astre of Douala play the MTN Elite one playoff come 2024.
The 24-year-old striker told the press that he values his team’s success more than his individual glory. He said he would rather see the Brazilians of Bepanda reach the playoffs and secure their place in the top flight than win the golden boot and risk relegation.
Les Astre are currently in a precarious position, as they are fifth in their group with fourteen points after eleven matches.
The team boosted their chances of survival by beating their rivals Dynamo of Douala with two goals from Armand Kooh.
The prolific forward has contributed to ten of Astre’s fifteen goals in the league so far, including four against Dynamo of Douala.
Last season, the Brazilians of Bepanda finished seventh in the league, with Jules scoring fine goals in all competitions.
This season, they have shown some improvement under coach Agbor, but their playoff fate will depend on their performance in the remaining matches.
