Kick442.com journalist Joshua Kosimbom has been recognized with the Advocacy of the Year Award at the Cameroon Youth Entrepreneurial and Community Development (CYECD) Awards 2026, during a ceremony held at Chariot Hotel in Buea.

Kosimbom, who was also crowned a winner at the awards night, described the recognition as a shared achievement, dedicating it to everyone who has supported his football media platform, Kosi FootTalk, since its inception.

“I am deeply honored and humbled to have been crowned Winner of the CYES & Awards 2026 and Advocacy of the Year Award,” Kosimbom wrote on social media.

He thanked his family, friends, followers, and the wider Cameroon football community for their unwavering support, noting that their encouragement had inspired him to continue telling stories that matter.

Kosimbom also dedicated the award to sports journalists, photographers, videographers, commentators, bloggers, and media personalities across Cameroon, acknowledging their collective role in promoting the country’s football.

“This victory is one we all share,” he added, while expressing gratitude to the organizers of the Cameroon Youth Entrepreneurial and Community Development Awards for the recognition.

The award adds to a growing list of achievements for Kosimbom, who is part of the Kick442.com editorial team. He was among the publication’s journalists that covered the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), contributing to the outlet’s extensive tournament coverage.

He concluded his message by thanking God for His grace and reaffirming his commitment to continue promoting Cameroonian football through impactful storytelling.
