- Francis Ngannou and Anthony Joshua are set to face off in a 10-round boxing match in Saudi Arabia in March 2024.

- The Predator seems pumped up over the possibility of facing the third ranked fighter on the WBC ranking list, after flooring the first in his Boxing debut after just three rounds
Francis Ngannou, the former UFC heavyweight champion and one of the most feared punchers in combat sports history, is set to face Anthony Joshua, the former two-time unified heavyweight boxing champion, in a 10-round bout in Saudi Arabia later this year.
The fight was confirmed this Friday by the Turki Al-Sheikh, the chairman of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia, who has been involved in organizing several major boxing events in the country
Francis Ngannou, made his professional boxing
debut in October 2023, after leaving the UFC earlier that year.
He shocked the world by going the distance with Tyson Fury, the current WBC champion, and even knocking him down in the third round.
The native from Batie unfortunately lost by a controversial split decision, but many observers felt he deserved the win or at least a draw.
The Predator seems excited for this smackdown with his recent tweet a testament to it.
“Making big moves in the new year, 2024 is going to be fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥” he tweeted hours after the announcement was made
Joshua on his part , has a professional boxing record of 27-3 with 24 knockouts. The Englishman is looking for a big challenge after bouncing back from his defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in 2022.
He won three fights in 2023, the most recent being a fifth-round stoppage of Otto Wallin in December. He was hoping to face Deontay Wilder, who had previously held the WBC title, but that bout fell through after Wilder lost to Joseph Parker in a stunning upset
The fight between Joshua and Ngannou is expected to be a huge spectacle, as both fighters are known for their knockout ability and fan appeal.
The date and venue of the fight have not been announced yet, but ESPN sources claims it for March 8. A press conference is expected to reveal more details soon.
The fight will be a 10-round heavyweight bout, with no titles on the line, but plenty of pride, prestige and financial gains.
