The Cameroon football federation (FECAFOOT) has revealed the draw ceremony of the 2023/24 Cup of Cameroon round of 64 matches will be made this Tuesday, May 7 in Yaoundé.
FECAFOOT has scheduled the event at 10AM local time with a melange of amateur and Elite clubs to engage in the race to win the trophy Fovu won last season.
The draw for the competition will be conducted by the commission in charge of national and international competitions led Frank Happi who serves as the Director of football development at FECAFOOT.
Elite One champions Victoria United FC, historic Bamboutos FC of Mbouda and Canon Yaounde plus holders Fovu and record winners Cotonsport will be in the draw.
The marathon competition will determine the next club to represent the country in the CAF Confederation Cup of the subsequent season.
Fovu won the Cup of Cameroon last season, defeating PWD in the final to make it three titles to their credit.
The cup of Cameroon fixtures will be made from the 64 teams in the 32nd final draw. The Elite 37 Elite One and Two championships clubs will compete with the other clubs from the Regional and divisional championships in the ten regions across the country.
Fovu won the cup of Cameroon last season after edging PWD FC 2-0 in the final at the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium.
The direct knockout round of the prestigious competition could start as soon as this weekend.
