Former Indomitable Lions of Cameroon forward, Emmanuel Maboang Kessack paid a solidarity visit to ailing veteran coach Jean-Paul Akono on Wednesday, April 5.
Kessack in his capacity as the special envoy of president Samuel Eto’o of the Cameroon football federation (FECAFOOT) was accompanied by ex-colleague Serge Branco, who doubles as spokesperson of 2002 generation of the Indomitable Lions.
Akono received both men at his residence and spent time together, detailing the state of his health onward transmission of the information to Eto’o for immediate action.
Reports have it that the 71-year-old has serious complications with his right leg as a result of an implantation done back in 2013.
This is not the first time coach Akono suffers a breakdown. In 2013, Eto’o flew him to France for treatment after he suffered a stroke.
