2024 Cameroon League champions, Victoria United FC of Limbe, has taken severe disciplinary actions against some key players of the club, citing allegations of Match Fixing.

In a communique signed by the club’s president Nkwain Valentine, yet to be made public, stated the dismissed players have been found guilty of match manipulation, thus relieving them off their duties.

The dismissed players includes team captain Nguefack Laurian, Vice Captain Bryann Tchana Nana, former captain of LESA Osogo Carl Eyong, Defense man Agbor Meldin Ashu, Sterly Peto and Mouelle Yobi Jason.

This comes after their humiliating 4-1 loss away to league struggles Aigle Royal of the Menoua in Bamendzi on Sunday, May 10.

Victoria United before losing that game with such a huge scoreline, the biggest of Matchday 18, came off two straight away wins in Garoua, surprising results that placed them as the suprise package in the second phase of the championship especially after putting an end to PWD of Bamenda and Cotonsport’s unbeaten run at home.

Victoria United mentioned the sanctions comes as they are firm on protecting the integrity of the game and ensuring professionalism.

More details to be provided as kick442.com continue to track this development.
