The General Manager of the Cameroon national football Academy (ANAFOOT), Enow Ngachu has expressed his satisfaction about having 30 graduates of the institution drafted into the different Elite clubs across the country.

GM Enow revealed during the maiden edition of the draft organized this Saturday, August 26 at the Hilton Hotel in Yaoundé while opening the ceremony attended by previous graduates, current best products, club presidents, representative of the Sports ministry and the Cameroon football federation amongst others.

“This is an exciting moment for all of us, as the National Football Academy will be leasing new talents to local clubs for the third time, to strengthen our local league teams,” an emotional Enow began.

“This is the first time we are experiencing such an August occasion in which 30 players scrutinized during our third ANAFOOT Regional Poles Talent Tournament will discover the teams that they will be playing for. That competition brought together the best players from our ten regional poles, that is; 150 players out of the more than 2,000 undergoing training in the Academy. This is testimony of the efforts put in place for the success of our trainees and it is our delight to let them know that ANAFOOT is a place where great footballers are built,” the former indomitable Lionesses boss noted for his rare ability to groom young talents.

In just under six years of full operation, the GM has overseen the development talents that have caught the attention of some of best talents that have gone on to represent the country in style.

The trio of Noh Nafeng Yvan, Tekeu Parfait and Motapon Fadil who recently won the U-20 Francophone games in DR Congo plus the massive representation of their players in title winning male and women’s clubs in the country says it all.

The noticeable rise has left many satisfied with the efforts of the institution and it’s regional coordinators.

GM Enow also commends the Head of State for how far he has come.

“We have come this far thanks to the efforts of the head of state’s support,” GM Enow opined.

The industrious administrator highlighted the need to marry football and studies as stipulated in the guidelines of the creation of ANAFOOT by president Biya in 2014.

“These transfers are very important. We are sending them to the right environment. Where they can continue to develop and also study. The must work hard to improve our championships and their new clubs. To match the standards set by president Paul Biya when he created ANAFOOT. I wish them luck in their new chapter, but we will keep working together.

“Today is the start of a new era in your sporting career and we are proud to entrust you to these teams. Let us work together, give it our best shot and pursue our dreams with determination. ANAFOOT, the Place to Be!,” GM Enow concluded to a thundering round of applause from the close to 300 guests at the hall of the Hilton Hotel.

The likes of Fauve Azur, APEJES, Stade Renard, Aigle Royal, FAP, Renaissance, ISOHSA etc have picked ANAFOOT products for the 2023/24 season.

Former Manchester City defender, Lucien Mettomo who sat in for the president of FECAFOOT at the event also commended ANAFOOT’s efforts in talent development so far.
