53-year-old David Pagou has resigned from his position as head coach of Elite one side, Aigle Royal of the Menoua for personal reasons, less than a year after he joined the club.
The tactician had joined El Pacha on a two-year deal, but prematurely puts an end to the working relationship, after ensuring the club stays in the top-flight championship.
Pagou, former PWD of Bamenda’s trainer had replaced Alain Roger Nseme who helped the club gain promotion to the top flight championship, in August last year on a two-year-deal.
The 2008 Cameroon cup runners up who suffered a relegation in 2018 but managed to return back to Elite One as champions of the second tier championship during the 2021/22 football season, brought in the experienced David Pagou with hopes of maintaining their stay in the competition.
However, the club which started the season on good footing, did not have an impressive finish but managed to escape relegation.
Agile Royal finished this 2022/23 Elite one football season, 6th in pool A with 24point, two places above the relegation zone.
As they prepare for the coming 2023/24 football season, Aigle Royal will go in search of a new gaffer to take charge of the club for the new season.
Pagou who won the Cameroon Cup 2021 and the 2020 Championship with PWD of Bamenda, is yet to make known his next move.
