The Cameroon transitional technical committee (CTFP) in charge professional football has told top flight and second tier clubs in the country to improve on their outfits.
The call to dress in the way they will be addressed was made through a release sent to the clubs on February 8.
Over the years players and coaches of both championships have appeared on match day with outfits that bear the values of other institutions.
“Dear club presidents we have observed with regrets that the outfit worn by some of your staff doesn’t reflect your standards and hence affects the image of our competitions.
“To this effect, we call on you to take necessary majors to put an end to this situation,” the release endorsed by Faustin Blaise Mbida, the Secretary General of the professional league management body explained.
Over the years, coaches in the Cameroon professional league have appeared for matches on kits of European clubs or the national team. This act has been condemned by many across the board.
The move from the CTFP certainly marks the beginning of a new chapter in the life of Cameroon professional football, especially if the clubs act accordingly.
