Che Malone Fondoh Junior has become Cotonsport’s most expensive defender in the past decade after he agreed a two-year deal to join Simba SC from Cotonsport of Garoua for a fee around the region of 78 Millions FCFA. ($130 000).
The Cameroon international completed medical and was unveiled this Sunday as a new NguvuMoja player while Coton are expected to receive the pay in two installments.

This move brings an end to his two-season at Cotonsport which will be remembered by the fans and himself as he masterminded back-to-back MTN Elite One championship wins for the Garoua outfit.
The sweeper who can play as a right-back and holding midfielder made his debut in the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary rounds defeat away to Orapa United in August 2021, operating as a right-back.
In all, “Wall of Jericho” as he is fondly known made 78 appearances for the Cotonites through the Elite One championship, Cup of Cameroon and the CAF Champions League.
Che made ten appearances in the CAF Champions League this season through the preliminaries to the group stages and provided one assist from an unbelievable run against Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Cameroon international with five caps to his name earned the Cameroon Elite One footballer of the year award during the ceremony organized in his absence on Friday evening in Yaounde.
The former Union Sportive of Douala and Continental FA defender will have his medical done this weekend, after which he will be unveiled as a Simba SC player.
He walks through the doors of the multiple Tanzanian Premier League winners as the second Cameroonian after Willy Esombe Onana Leandre was captured from Rayon Sports of Kigali.
Che has obtained his Turkish visa and will travel as part of the club’s contingent for their pre-season tour next week.
