Cameroon’s military women’s basketball team clinched the gold medal at the African Military Games 2024, held in Abuja, Nigeria.

The African Military Games, running from November 18 to November 30, brought together military personnel from across the continent to compete in 19 different sports, including football, track and field, volleyball, and swimming.

Organized by the African Union and the Nigerian Armed Forces, the event aimed to foster unity, cooperation, and physical fitness among African militaries.

In the men’s basketball final, however, Cameroon faced a tough challenge and ultimately lost to Nigeria, highlighting the competitive spirit and high level of talent present at the games.
