A new Guinness Super League champion will be known this weekend after the last six matches of the final round of the championship will be played across the nation.
Defending champions FC Ebolowa will face Vision Foot while fellow contender Lekie Filles climax proceedings against Cyclone on Saturday at the Omnisport Annex stadium and Yaounde Military stadium respectively.
Before Saturday, there is the little matter of determination of the second team to follow Awa Filles to the second tier to be decided between Authentic Ladies and Caiman Filles all of Douala.
Authentic Ladies face already relegated Awa Filles in Yaounde while Caiman confronts fifth-place Ita Mbong Ladies of Nkambe. Authentic needs a point from the game against Awa to maintain their Super League status while Caiman needs to beat Ita Mbong and hope for a defeat for Authentic to move out of the relegation zone.
The rest of the fixtures may not have as much impact on the table as the abovementioned but are boarding almost the same excitement while fans brace up to savour another episode of arguably the best organized championship in Cameroon football these days.
Last season’s second vice champions Eclair of Sa’a clash with Amazone FAP currently occupying the third spot on the log while Louves take on Dja Sport in the other of the Friday clashes.Between the FECAFOOT Technical Center in Odza, The Bonamoussadi Stadium in Douala, the Military Stadium and the Omnisport Annex stadium there will be a lot on offer as organizers draw the curtains on another hitch free season.
