Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo extended a hand of fellowship to local division one side Aigle Royal of Menoua during a regular visit on Thursday afternoon in Dschang.

The Brentford forward who hails from the West Region of Cameroon took advantage of his brief close season break to extend the kind gesture to the top-flight club after spending close to an hour with its officials. Sources say during the visit, he held talks about the beautiful game and encouraged them for their efforts so far.

Before his departure, Mbeumo handed a sum of two million FCFA to the club’s president which will certainly go a long way to impact the club’s life going forward.

Aigle face East Regional League side Abong Mbang this Sunday at the FECAFOOT Technical Center in Odza in the eighth final of the Cup of Cameroon.

Mbeumo is expected to leave the West Region this weekend and travel to Yaounde where he is expected to enter camp with the rest of his international colleagues.

Mbeumo missed the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) owing to injury, but recovered and completed the campaign in style.

The former French youth international has been retained in coach Marc Brys’ squad of players to camp for next month’s FIFA World Cup qualifier matches against Cabo Verde Islands and Angola on June 8 and 11 in Yaounde and Luanda.
