The Goalkeeping Academy of Bravehearts Ladies recently unveiled their new kits for the season.
The kit comprise white with shades of green embedded with the team kit sponsor, Evoca Foundation.
Three goalkeepers modeled the kits when unveiled.
The Bravehearts Ladies Goalkeeping Academy was established in 2022.
It was established because female athletes, particularly goalkeepers, face unique challenges.
Most grassroots teams have no specialized training for female goalkeepers; this, in the long run, hinders their development, leading to many failures and the production of inadequately trained Goalkeepers representing teams at local and national levels.
Furthermore, in the area of coaching, most grassroots teams lack trained and dedicated Goalkeeper coaches.
This lack of structure and developmental system dedicated to the training of female goalkeepers in Sub-Saharan Africa necessitated the creation of the Bravehearts Ladies Goalkeeping Academy.
The Academy aims to be a transformative step towards unlocking the region’s footballing potential in the area of goalkeeping.
