The General Manager of Cameroon Elite One championship side Bamboutos FC of Mbouda has written to FECAFOOT via president Samuel Eto’o Fils request for payments of 116 of its prize money and subvention dating from the 2021/22 season.

The release signed by Bamboutos FC General Manager Pascal Dissock was received and acknowledged by the mails department of FECAFOOT on August 29 as the Mangwa Boys step up efforts to recover the 116 millions FECAFOOT owes them.

According to the August letter, Bamboutos FC still awaits 25 millions FCFA prize money for qualification for the 2022 Cup of Cameroon final, the same amount for being vice champion of Cameroon, 50 millions FCFA for winning the 2022 Super Cup, their 15 millions FCFA subvention for the 2022/23 season and one million FCFA as prize money for the best supporters club last season.

In all, the Federation owes the West Region outfit is owed 116 Million FCFA, part of the debt being over a year old.

Last month, FECAFOOT threw Bamboutos FC out of the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary citing unpaid salaries to its players.

The club has since resolved the players situation, but were denied the chance to enter the competition in the end.

The move to request for their dues to be paid is ligitimate, though there are glaring signs it’s fueled by the urge to fight back.
