Ambitious MTN Elite One championship side Bamboutos FC of Mbouda have secured the services of Ghanaian trainer Joseph Asare Bediako after the latter agreed a two-year-deal and other conditions to lead the club.
The astute trainer is expected in Cameroon in the days ahead, after he agreed personal terms to join the Mangwa Boys at the end of a week-long negotiation.
Asare will arrive in Cameroon next week to put pen to paper and officially take over from Yves Clement Arroga, who guided the club to a second place finish last season.
64-year-old Asare spent last season at Aduana stars in the second tier of Ghanaian football.
Club sources say Bamboutos FC of Mbouda settled for him because of their desire to have an experienced guide through the preliminaries of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Though it is Asare’s first job abroad and the first time Bamboutos is hiring a foreign coach for close to a decade, there are huge expectations about this new bond.
The club’s season will start in August. So far there have been a number of good signings made by the club, while other contract negotiations proceed.
