ISOHSA’s promotion to the second tier championship is greatly thanks to its goalkeeper Ashu Kelvin Mbah, who from day one have not failed to impress with a outstanding and applaudable performance at goal.

Unarguably, he is one of the best goalkeeper the 2023 National Interpools have witnessed so far, a level headed safe hands who commands his backline and does the needful then it’s time for him to play his role.

Kelvin has kept three clean sheets in five games, conceded three goals; one against Volcan de Noun in a 1-1 draw, and two against Academie Nyom II in the last group game that ended 3-2 in favor of ISOHSA.

In all five games played so far, the shot stopper boasts of an excellent performance, recording nothing less of an average performance in each game as people from the stands attest.

Kelvin has been a wonderfully athletic shot-stopper who from the regional league right up to this stage, has been very dependable and reliable for ensuring the teams success by executing his job at goal with all passion for success.

He does virtually all there is to offer in the game, calm under pressure, steady when using his feet and playing as a ‘sweeper’ to execute his passes and one visible thing that makes him a phenomenal shot stopper is the fact that he is very good at closing down angles when faced with an opposition player running towards the goalpost.

At YOSA, Ashu Kelvin was the first choice keeper who played all games throughout the season before parting ways with the club and has been a blessing to the SW regional representatives in just one season.

For an outstanding performance throughout the league, Ashu Kelvin emerged best goalkeeper of the 2022/23 regional league football season. He has been between the sticks from day one.

The 23-year-old joined the “now Elite two club” from Yong Sport Academy of Bamenda and has also played for Eteki Memorial Sports Academy of Tiko (EEMSA) and Canon of Yaoundé during the 2018/19 football season.
