Cotonsport stand in coach for Friday’s CAF Champions League Group B opener against Mamelodi Sundowns has identified where the game will be won or lost.

The Cameroon champions face Mamelodi Sundowns at the Roumde Adjia Stadium in the match day two of the 2022/23 competition.

This Wednesday, before the club’s official training, Agbor Ernest Ako, who deputized for Gabriel Herman talked his thoughts about the ‘big game’.

“I believe this game will be decided at the level of intensity and speed. We have a young team with legs. We will certainly have a problem of choice. We have a young team. We will work on offensive and defensive transition during the games.”

Discussing their staff strength on the eve of the game, coach Agbor highlighted said some words the fans will like to hear.

“We have a complete squad. We have been preparing this game for a month. So they are no excuses. We have had enough time. We have recovered our or rhythm.”

Sundowns arrived Cameroon on Wednesday evening via the Garoua International Airport hoping to extend their winning streak beyond the run of 14 wins in a row.

Cotonsport are playing catch up to Sundowns who enter the match day 2 fixture with three points from their 1-0 win against Hilal in the opening round of group games.

Al Ahly’s engagement in the just-ended FIFA Club World Cup meant Cotonsport were on standby on Match Day 1.

2008 runners-up, Coton host the 2016 Champions hoping to get their first in the competition since 2015 while Downs are hoping to get a second victory to stay atop Pool B.

The game is scheduled for 5PM this Friday at the historic Roumde Adjia Stadium.
