2017 AFCON winning defender Mohamed Djetei Camara might have done enough to earn a recall into the lions den after some years of absence.

Born on August 18, 1994, the defender who currently plays for Albacete in the Spanish Secunda division.

In the Spanish Secunda this season, Mohamed Djetei Camara played 31 matches and scored a goal.

The Cameroonian starred for Union of Douala while he was playing in Cameroon. There, he was considered one of the best defenders.

With his outstanding performance for his club this season alongside his compatriot Enzo Boyomo who called up in the last international break, Rigobert Song may consider bringing back the experience defender into the lions den.

Albacete coach, Rubén Albés, considers Mohamed Djetei as one of his pillars in the defense of his team.

Albacete finished the Spanish Secunda at the 67 points, narrowly missing a return to La Liga.

Djetei made his international debut on October 18, 2015, with the intermediate lions of Cameroon, after starting in a zero all draw in the buildup to the 2016 African Nations Championship. He also made the 23-man list for the final tournament.

On May 30, 2016, Djetei made his full international debut for the indomitable lions of Cameroon, appearing in a friendly against France after coming on as a late substitute for Aurélien Chedjou.

He was included in Hugo Broos’ 23-man squad for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon where they won the trophy.
