Janet Moraa’s double saw Vihiga end the season on a winning note defeating Gaspo 2-1 in an entertaining clash on Saturday evening.
A game between the first and second had no effect on the final day after Vihiga coming into the fixture already as champions.
The legacy Queens clinched the 2022/23 Kenya Women’s Premier league title on 55 points , 7 above second placed Gaspo.
A season graced by a competitive run after the league looked to be decided at the last moment.
Vihiga will now represent Kenya at the CAF Women’s Champions league for the CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers due to take place in August.
Coach Boniface Nyamu’s side make return to this stage having missed the previous edition due to the FIFA International Ban on Kenya.
Vihiga won the inaugural edition though failed to make it out of the group stages at the finals in Egypt
