Cameroon international Farida Machia Machia has been unveiled by South Korean side Gyeongju Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) FC, weeks after kick442.com announced she was departing Lekie Filles.
The Korean club unveiled the forward this Wednesday after she completed formalities for a transfer from Lekie Filles to KHNP FC on a 12 months contract.
The 31-year-old has joined the rest of her mates in preparations for the new season which gets underway later this month.
Players and staff KHNP FC just ended a pre-season camp ahead of the new season expected to begin in mid March.
Machia who previously played for Boston College in the US Braga and won the Portuguese league and cup in 2018 is expected to be a source of inspiration to her mates this campaign.
Machia won back-to-back Guinness Super League championships with Awa Filles before joining Lekie at the start of the current season. She leaves as the club and league’s current top scorer with four goals and two assists in six games.
