Cameroon Sambo Federation Unveils 29-Athlete Squad for CEEAC Open Preparations

The Cameroon Sambo Federation (FECASAMBO) has named a 29-athlete squad for a training camp ahead of the 2026 CEEAC Open International Sambo Tournament, scheduled to take place in Yaoundé from 17 to 19 September 2026.

 

According to the official convocation signed by national team head coach Nji Mouluh Seidou on 3 July 2026, the selected athletes have been called to report to the Omnisports Stadium behind STV at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, 4 July and Sunday, 5 July 2026 for the start of an external training camp.

 

The camp serves as the first phase of preparations for the regional competition, which Cameroon will host later this year.

 

Among the athletes selected are Kenfack Djassmann, Onguene Tsimi, Wandi Gilles Gildas, Touko Ngandjui Junior, Boui A Boui Abdouraman, Tadjuka Xavier, Bessala Awono Joseph, Kama Max Kevin, Kouamen Eddy, Ekwalla Kingue, Mbida Zanga Celestin, Kengni Kevine, Fangueng Elvira, Dapong Joël, Nkene William, Ngananga Tchakogoue, Vochung Clodia, Tsanga Marie, Kamdem Boris, Fokou Lepawa Lucie, Ndongo Roger, Ekom Louis Marie, Mballa Leonel, Soh Kengne Giresse, Lonkén Kenné Yvan Roch, Tombou Julien, Mafougong Passo Manuella, Meyong Ondoa Frank, and Abomo Pernelle Sylvana.

 

Athletes have been instructed to report with a water bottle and a pair of tennis shoes as preparations begin for the continental event.
