Elite One side Stade Renard de Melong fought back to secure a 1–1 draw against Panthère du Ndé in their Match Day Nine clash at the Melong Municipal Stadium.

After a tightly contested first half that produced few clear chances, the visitors broke the deadlock early in the second half. Panthère’s Theo Mattew William found the back of the net in the 50th minute, giving the Ndé-based side the advantage and putting pressure on the hosts.

Stade Renard responded by increasing their attacking intensity as the match progressed, pushing forward in search of an equalizer in front of their home supporters. Their persistence eventually paid off in the 81st minute when Thorgan Essiane scored to bring the hosts level and revive the contest.

The final minutes saw both sides attempt to find a late winner, but neither team was able to break the deadlock again as the match ended with the points shared.

The result leaves both teams with mixed feelings. While Panthère du Ndé may regret not holding on to their second-half lead, Stade Renard will take encouragement from their late comeback to secure a point at home.

The draw adds another chapter to the competitive nature of the Elite One season, with teams continuing to battle closely for crucial points as the campaign progresses.
