Haschou Kerrido has completed a move to Guinea top-flight side Association Sportive Kaloum on a three-year-deal to mark his return to the country, kick442.com can comfirm.
31-year-old Haschou who previously played Clubu Industriel de Kamsar in Guinea during the 2019/2020 has joined the 13-times Guinea Premier League winners from Stade Renard of Melong in Cameroon.
Kerrido completed the switch on Monday and his new club made the announcement this Tuesday, all be it without financial details of the contract signed by the Cameroon international.
This signing of Cameroon’s first choice keeper at the 2020 Africa Nations Championship and the man that earned a call up to the senior national team back in 2020 is a statement of intent from the Kaloum management.
Kerrido will return to Cameroon to put himself together before resuming duty at AS Kaloum who are preparing a very demanding campaign.
The former Sanga Balende, Unisport, Union Sportive of Douala and PWD of Bamenda goalkeeper will be crucial for the club this coming campaign.
The club will be hoping to benefit from Haschou’s experience and go beyond the ninth place finish of last season and why not winning a trophy to end their ten year drought since after winning the Guinea Cup and Super Cup in 2015.
