The 2025 Cup of Cameroon quarterfinals are set to deliver thrilling matchups, with Aigle Royal of Menoua facing off against record winners Canon of Yaounde. Notably, Mintack is the sole non-elite club remaining in the competition, joined by seven top-flight and second-tier teams that have advanced to this stage.
Aigle Royal, last season’s runner-up, secured a spot in the quarterfinals with a convincing 3-1 victory over third-tier side Riziere of Noun in Melong. This win sets up a highly anticipated matchup against Canon of Yaounde, who thrashed Chamba of Bertoua 7-0.
In another quarterfinal, Mintack’s remarkable 2-0 upset over Fauve Azur Elite will face defending champions Colombe of Dja and Lobo, who previously dispatched 2021 winners PWD of Bamenda 2-0.
A clash of past champions is also on the horizon, as 1988 and 2009 winners Panthere of Nde take on Apejes of Mfou. Panthere, under coach Yves Clement Arroga, has carried their impressive league form into the Cup of Cameroon and is among the favorites to claim the title.
Meanwhile, 1999 winners Racing of Bafoussam eliminated giant killers Royal of Nka in the round of eight and will face Atlantic of Kribi, who knocked out Gazelle FA of Garoua.
The quarterfinal matches are expected to be played on neutral pitches, as scheduled by the organizers.
