- Fovu has faced a free fall in the past 12 months, suffering relegation from the top-flight just months after winning the Cup of Cameroon
- The Baham outfit has a completely changed squad for the coming season
Fovu of Baham, the Cameroonian club that famously lined up seven players for a CAF Confederation Cup game in August this year, employed a third man to lead them tactically even before the start of the domestic championship season.
Gaston Temfack was employed earlier this week as their head coach, in replacement of Charlemagne Mbombo who only lasted two games at the job.
The club media division announced Temfack, who left rivals Aigle Royal of Menoua less than a month ago has been given the head coach role for the coming season.
The employment of Temfack makes him the third lead trainer of Fovu this 2024/25 campaign as he stepped into the shoes Christophe Ousmanou and Charlemagne Mbongo occupied earlier in the year but only lasted weeks.
The team boasts a championship title from 2002, three Cup of Cameroon trophies (in 2001, 2010, and 2023), and two Cameroon Super Cup victories (in 2000 and 2001). Additionally, they were finalists in the UNIFFAC Cup in 2006.
Fovu will take part in the 17-club MTN Elite Two championship expected to begin sometimes in the month of November this year.
