Etchu Perry has become the third Tiko groomed player to join Stade Renard of Melong following the club’s announcement of the capture of the former Victoria United FC captain on a two-year contract on Tuesday.
The sweeper who left Victoria United FC in acrimonious circumstances after refusing to sign a long-term contract was offered a deal in Melong upon confirmation by the technical crew of the club following weeks of a successful tryout.
The announcement of the recruitment of the rugged center-back means he joins captain Wotsing Serge and forward Ako Alexis Asoh as the Tiko groomed trio on the books of the 2019 Cup of Cameroon winners.
The switch to Melong ends Perry’s three years stay on the books of Victoria United FC with whom he achieved everything. The defender won the Southwest Regional championship, MTN Elite Two and Elite One championship titles during his stint at the club.
Perry once of Best Stars Academy, ISOHSA and Tiko United FC will complement Nkuissi Thomas Legrand at the heart of the club’s defense when the new 16-club MTN Elite One championship gets underway next month.
