Cameroonian forward Junior Kaaba, has spoken for the first time since his stay in the Ghanian premier league ended prematurely.

The 23_year_old, who had signed a 3_years deal with Hearts of Oak in August 2022, was officially released by the club last week, after just four months with the club.

Now the forward has taken to social media to express his disappointment for the abrupt end of his adventure with the Phobians.

“It is with regret and sadness that I announce the end of my adventure with Accra Heart of Oak,” Kaabi wrote on Facebook.

” I arrive at the phobians with a lot of ambitions, and would have loved to mark the history of this mythical club in my own way. unfortunately the circumstances did not allow it,” he added before wishing the Phobians the best for the rest of the season.

“I would like to thank the supporters and leaders, my teammates and staff,
for the support and encouragement I was delighted to work with you. Good luck and good season.”

GHANAsoccernet.com, had reported that the Ghanian outfit decided to “mutually terminate their employment contract with the Cameroonian following the recommendation by head coach Slavko Matic”.

Kaaba only featured in six league games for The Phobians, who currently sit fifth in the Ghana premier league table. He also featured in all their two CAF Confederation cup games against AS Real of Bamako. In total, Kaaba has played 346 minutes of football in the colors of Hearts of Oak, and have failed to find the back of the net.

Before moving to Hearts of Oak, Kaaba had a scintillating season in the Cameroon Elite one championship, where he scored 11 goals and provided four assists for Fauve Azur in the 2021_2022 Campaign.
