  • Enzo Ebosse will return to treatment for at least six months again
  • The defender damaged his ACL again after just seven minutes from resumption of a seven months injury
  • Ebosse will miss next year’s AFCON in Côte D’Ivoire
  • His Serie A season is over

Udinese Calclio’s Enzo Jacques Rodolphe Ebosse will be out for six to seven months as Italian media outlets have it that he has damaged his Anterior Cruciate Ligaments (ACL) again.

The Cameroon international had suffered the same injury last year and stayed out for eight months before returning to action last week in a goalless draw against Cagliari.

Unfortunately for the promising defender, he only lasted seven minutes on return from injury on match day four of the Italian Serie A championship.

The Udinese family football was left scratching their head when Ebosse who came on as a first-half substitute limped off injured again.

Enzo was introduced seven minutes before the interval, but left again before the restart, due to a fresh injury.

The 24-year-old who missed the best part of the end of last season is said to have done his cruciate ligaments, months after he was forced off owing to the same problem.

Coach Andrea Sottil who has initially assured the public about the players situation will be without the former Lens defender for a while again.

If early evidence is anything to go by, then there is a limited chance he features at next year’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament for Cameroon, to whom he pledged his allegiance in international football after featuring for France at youths level.
