2023 National Interpools: Nick Afafa sparkling on his return

The lone scorer against Volcan so far in the 2023 National Interpools is ISOHSA’S Nick Nlend Afafa, as the final group games are being negotiated.

The forward is playing his second spell for ISOHSA upon return from Elite One side Avion Academy, where he had a stint last season.

Afafa only managed to break into coach Nlend Ayme’s side at the South West regional mini-interpools, where he scored 2 against IFAB in the second leg semi-finals.

So far in the competition finals, Afafa has started two games for one goal scored.

The center-forward who is known for spectacular goals sat out the first game against Union Sportive D’abong Bang, but grabbed a lead poacher’s role against Volcan du Noun.

Afafa guided the ball into goal at the 44th minute but the West representatives Volcan, came back to equalize in the second segment.

Afafa and co are still in the hunt for one of two tickets to bounce out of group A to the semis.

A win or draw; if Sporting draws or loses against Academie Nyom ii on Sunday will do the trick for ISOHSA.
