Former Cameroon international Ada Jacquette retires at 31

Former Besiktas SK Ladies forward Ada Jacquette, has retired from professional football, bringing an end to a 12-year career.

Multiple sources confirmed the former FC Ebolowa forward who was on the books of the AtaÅŸehir Belediyespor until last year has hung her boots at 31.

Ada who also had spells on the books of French began her career at FC Ebolowa in 2012, before joining Lorema FC after which she moved to Europe.

The Assok native spent the best part of her career on the books of Turkish clubs cutting through 1207 Antalyaspor, Besiktas, Amedspor before joining Fatih Vatan Spor.

Her last stint in the domestic championship lasted three months in 2021 when she returned and signed for Lekie Filles FC.

In the international scene, Ada won 21 caps for Cameroon and scored four goals. Ada was part of the squad that finished runners-up at the 2016 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON) on home soil.

She camped for a number of other tournaments with Cameroon but was left out of the tournament squads.
