The Indomitable lioness’ defender Estelle Johnson plying her trade for Gothman FC, on Friday, December 22, 2022penned a two-year deal, with the NWSL side North Carolina Courage.
The 34 year -old sweeper played 15 matches for Gothman FC in 2022Â owning 1,300 minutes with 47 clearances, 16 blocks, and 26 interceptions.
She posted a 42.1% tackle success rate, 49.3% in duels, and 62 % in aerial battles. Johnson connected 538 of 654 total passes for an 82.3% success rate. Signing Johnson brings the North Carolina Courage club, list to seven players from eight different nationals.
Johnson has been representing the Indomitable lionesses since 2019, I n all of the major competitions. She played four matches in the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup with team Cameroon, where they were booted out by England in round 16.
