FECAFOOT sets Odza usage price floor

The Cameroon football federation (FECAFOOT) has announced it is imposing a minimum charge of 35000 FCFA / hour for the use of its technical center in the outskirts of Yaounde.

A release from the office of the Secretary General Faustin Blaise Mbida earlier this week revealed users of the structure will pay the minimum charge per hour for at least two hours to have access to the structure.

This move improves the previous situation which allowed users to negotiate less or above the newly-recommended price with the ground staff.

The center constructed during the era of Iya Mohamed as president of FECAFOOT has a synthetic pitch and a dormitory which can host guests.

Top-flight, second tier clubs and amateur clubs in Cameroon use the pitch regularly during and out of the season.

Though a handful of stakeholders have said the amount may be too high for clubs barely surviving, there is a strong argument that it is part of efforts to curb corruption.

FECAFOOT led by Samuel Eto’o Fils has pride itself as a body keen on giving it’s best to achieve new heights.
