  • Elad Princely has completed a switch from Istanbul FA to ISOHSA on a two-year contract
  • Elad becomes the additional central defender the club’s technical staff had requested from management before the close of the window
  • He completed formalities to join the club hours before the November 4 transfer deadline

Ambitious MTN Elite Two championship franchise, Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) of Limbe have added Princely Elad to their project on a two-year contract, kick442.com can confirm pending unveiling by the club officials.

The club completed the signing of the defender on Saturday as part of efforts to build a more resolute backline for the rest of the 2023/24 season.

President Karl Njomo Mokake and his management team finalized formalities to sign the 21-year-old from Istanbul FA of Buea, fending off interest from a number of clubs within and without the region that had displayed their desire to sign the robust defender.

The move ends Elad’s three-year stay on the books of Istanbul FA, during which he helped the club qualify for the 16th final of the Cup of Cameroon in 2021 and the semi-final of the Southwest Regional championship last season.

Elad became a target for ISOHSA management after his excellent defensive display against them in the first-leg semi-final game of the 2022/23 Southwest Regional Championship in July. The club kept tabs on the player all through the close season transfer window and finally got him on deadline day.

The graduate from the University of University of Buea began his career at Cinyodev FA. He spent three years with the Checky boys, before switching to rivals Mount Cameroon FC of Buea, where he played till 2018.

Elad also had a stint away from the region and on the books of AS Phoenix of Douala which lasted three years from 2020. He returned to the region that year via the Istanbul FA project and established himself as the master of their defensive chaos till the ISOHSA switch.

ISOHSA submitted the player’s documents to the Cameroon football federation (FECAFOOT) in the final moments of the window, for immediate registration and issuance of his first professional licence.

The center-half who can also play as a right full-back will compete for game time with deputy skipper Tengah Kingsley, Kum Bryan, Andre Bougha and Abdoul Razack throughout the current season and beyond.

Elad will resume training with the rest of his new colleagues on Monday, November 6 as they prepare for their match day four game against Rangers of Bafut.

ISOHSA will face Rangers on Tuesday in an all-Anglo-saxon fixture of the MTN Elite Two championship, but kick442.com understands Elad is likely to be unavailable for the game. Just like every other new signing he is expected to earn his way into the first team going by the philosophy of coach Nlend Ayme who recommended and approved his acquisition even after achieving a clean sheet in his opening three games in the MTN Elite Two championship.
