  • The former LIFCA and Little Foot FC will lead ISOHSA to the MTN Elite 2 championship for the first time in their eight-year history.

Enow Ngachu, the General Manager of the Cameroon National Football Academy (ANAFOOT) has penned an emotional congratulations message to Nlend Ayme for his exploits with the Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) of Limbe.

Coach Nlend, who doubles as the deputy head of the Southwest pool achieved the unthinkable last season, guiding ISOHSA to promotion to the second tier of Cameroon football as champions of the 2023 national interpools.

ISOHSA’s scintillating season had a massive input from ANAFOOT. Besides coach Nlend, six of the institution’s graduates formed part of the squad that emerged champions of Southwest and Cameroon last season.

In a letter signed this Monday, Director Enow saluted the efforts to fly ANAFOOT’s flag through ISOHSA.

“Congratulations!!! The Limbe pool of ANAFOOT which you lead has developed a number of young footballers who eventually joined ISOHSA which recently earned promotion to professional football.”

“This result doesn’t only reflect your dedication to hard-work but the efforts you make daily to go by the orientation of top management in training talents. It is in this light that we tell you congratulations and urge to keep the faith.”

Coach Nlend’s ISOHSA only suffered three defeats in 27 games last season, achieving a 16 final finish in the Cup of Cameroon before going on to win the Southwest Regional championship without blemishes and the national interpools as a rare invincible team in the competition.

Nlend, who previously managed Njalla Quan Sports Academy in the top-flight championship is expected to guide ISOHSA through their ride in Elite 2 when the new season gets underway next month.

ISOHSA is locked in pre-season these days. Ahead of the new season, the club has completed the transfer of seven graduates of ANAFOOT, including Ghangle Rattaksi signed from Canon Yaoundé.
