Ernestine Heutchouo’s perfectly dispatched free-kick goal was enough to secure a 1-0 for Éclair of Sa’a against eternal rivals Louves Minprof in Saturday’s center region derby at the Omnisport Annex stadium.

Éclair of Sa’a were made to sweat for their fourth win of the 2023/24 Guinness Super League season but again Heutchouo made the difference as she scored her fifth goal in seven games since joining the club.

The former AJSAC ladies of Douala defender beat the keeper from the long range short deep into the second segment to hand only a second defeat of the season to Louves Minprof.

Though Éclair dominated the game, Louves had a number of clear cut chances but were second best on the day even in terms of their finishing.

The latest victory leaves Éclair on the fifth spot with 13 points from a possible 21 after seven rounds of matches in the latest edition of the Guinness Super League.

Heutchouo is also the club’s top scorer this plus the second best scorer in the championship with five goals, two goals behind current top scorer Kameni Alice Flora.
