Gazelle FA of Garoua, has beaten APEJES of Mfou 2-1, to go top of Group B of the MTN Elite one championship.
APEJES hosted Gazelle in one of Day 19 games on Saturday afternoon at the CAF excellence Center in Mbankomo.
Visiting Gazelle welcomed back in their starting XI goalkeeper Marcelin Mbahbi, who missed their last two games due to his involvement with the indomitable lions of Cameroon.
It took visiting Gazelle 15 minutes to open scores, when forward Calice D’or slotted pass goalkeeper Roger Ntsama of APEJES.
The 20-year-old netted his second of the game at the half an hour mark, his seventh league goal of the campaign.
APEJES pulled one back before the break, through Christian Fack Bayokolak.
Yougouda Kada and co dominated proceedings in the second segment, but the heavy downpour could not allow them fully implement their game plan.
With a 2-1 score line advantage the visitors at Full-time, it means Gazelle FA has recorded 10 out of a possible 12 points in their last four games, and have gone top of Group B.
Gazelle now has 32 points, two points above second placed Bamboutos FC of Mbouda, though Gazelle has played two matches more than the Mangwa Boys.
Gazelle FA has just one game left to play this season, against Bamboutos.
