The Easter Cup has once again been a stage for the extraordinary as EFBC claimed their seventh sacrament in a decisive 4-1 victory over the Americans of the East region, Union Sportive of Abong Mbang.
This triumph marks their fourth consecutive title in the prestigious Patricia Berthelot Easter Cup played at the Reunification Annex stadium on Friday April12,2024.
The final was a testament to EFBC’s offensive prowess, with Bernard Nguene stealing the show by netting a remarkable hattrick, while his teammate Angel Yondjo added another to the tally.
Yondjo, adorned with the number 9, emerged as the tournament’s top scorer, having found the back of the net seven times and delivering a crucial pass.
Nguene, wearing the number 10, wasn’t far behind with five goals and a crucial pass of his own, earning him the title of the best player of the tournament.
EFBC’s journey to the final was no less dramatic. In a match that would decide the second finalist, EFBC faced Colombe under the relentless downpour in Douala.

Eko Tindi Willy, the young talent between the posts, was recognized as the best goalkeeper of the event. The team’s offensive strength was further highlighted by Bassong, Berry, and Atangana, who each scored two goals and featured among the top scorers.
