Former Manchester United Midfielder Eric Djemba Djemba has revealed Andre Onana Onana has joined the best club in the world while wishing him his blessings.
The retired Cameroon international was speaking late last week after Onana completed a Cameroonian record €52.5 Millions switch from Inter Milan to Manchester United.
Onana settled for Manchester United, despite having interest from multiple clubs across Europe and beyond.
Djemba says he made the right decision;
“You have joined one of the most prestigious club in the World. Not everybody has this privilege. Congratulations to my young compatriot Andre Onana. I wish him all the best,” Djemba said.
Djemba spent two years at Old Trafford, having joined the club from French side FC Nantes in 2004. He knows the environment and what it means being a Manchester United player.
Onana will become only the Cameroonian to play for Manchester United when he debuts for the club in the days ahead.
Onana, 27, arrives the Theater of Dreams hoping to achieve all he didn’t achieve at Barcelona B, Ajax Amsterdam and Inter Milan.
The retired Cameroon international will certainly win more supporters for Manchester United, despite his decision to leave international football following his disagreement with Samuel Eto’o Fils during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
