Players and staff of Cameroon Elite 2 side Unisport of Bafang have been involved in an accident this Wednesday evening as they return from Bamenda hours after their game against Rangers of Bafut.
According to sources the bus transporting the Unisport staff went off the road in Mbouda and a number of those aboard have picked up varied injuries..
The Unisport personnel who were returning from the capital of the Northwest region after their 1-1 draw against Rangers have been rushed to a nearby hospital.
There are no details about what could have caused the deviation, but accidents are a usual occurrence in the stretch between the Northwest and the West regions of Cameroon.
Unisport are one of the contenders for promotion to the top-flight championship come the end of the season.
The club is expected to return to Bamenda for a match day 19 game against fellow contenders Foncha Street FC.
