President Samuel Eto’o Fils of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) has announced the cancellation of the Executive Committee meeting of the institution that was scheduled to take place on March 14.

The president revealed this Friday in a presser that they have called off the meeting to enhance serenity and allow peace to reign.

The EXCO meeting had been rumoured to be the avenue to deliberate and terminate their collaboration with Marc Brys, especially as the date of the meeting coincided with the deadline the FA has given the former Royal Mouscron coach to apologise for what they term disrespectful attitude towards president Samuel Eto’o Fils.

Brys’ who has had a frosty relationship with Eto’o since his arrival in Cameroon is adjudged to have disrespected president Eto’o when he told Journalists in Morocco that he wasn’t afraid of Eto’o when asked about the team’s AFCON opponents.

President Biya’s appreciation of the progress made by the Indomitable Lions under Brys and his repeated calls for peace around the national team has been reportedly cited as the reason for the annulment, though it is safe to say it’s uneasy calm.

The decision not to look into the file leaves Brys and his players focused on their games against Mauritius Island and Estwanti in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
