Cameroon Elite one champions Coton sport of Garoua left their base this Monday en route to Egypt and later Sudan for their Match Day 4 and 5 CAF Champions League commitments against Al Ahly and Al Hilal respectively.

Gabriel Haman and his charges plus the rest of the delegation flew to Douala through the Garoua international Airport. They are expected to spend the night in Yaoundé, before continuing their trip to Cairo on Tuesday afternoon via an EgyptAir Flight that will arrive in Cairo on Tuesday evening.

Cotonsport will take on Al Ahly in a delayed day one game on Saturday in Cairo before traveling to Omdurman to face Al Hilal who beat them 2-1 last weekend in Garoua.

The consecutive away games provide a tough chance for Kaiba Djawal and mates to make up for the tough start to the group stage of this season’s CAF Champions League.

Coton are currently bottom of Group B with no point from their two outings while Al Ahly is ranked third with just the point obtained from their 2-2 draw from leaders Mamelodi Sundowns who count seven points so far.

The Cameroon champions have lost their last eight Champions League group stage matches – their last win in the competition dates back to 2013 when they reached the semi-final and lost on aggregate to Al Ahly.
