Giants Commercial Bank ended the season with a 2-0 victory over Mechal on the final day to clinch the 2022/23 Ethiopian Women’s premier league championship.
The Ethiopian Women’s Premier League that started in Hawassa City and ended in Bahir Dar with the closing ceremony held on Sunday evening.
Commercial Bank finished off the season on 61 points to emerge champions for the record breaking 6th time.
The club’s strikers Loza Abera and Aregash Kalsa took home the golden boot tied on 23 goals.
The team will represent Ethiopia at the CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers for the 2023 CAF Women’s Champions league.
