The Head coach of the Uganda National team Micho named a final 23 man squad on Monday evening to participate at the the CHAN 2022 ,Algeria.
The squad consists of 3 goal keepers ,8 defenders ,7 midfielders and 5 forwards after the final cut.
Vipers duo Najib Niga and Siraje Ssentamu were left out ,and this is attributed to the injuries they suffered recently in pre- CHAN friendlies in Tunisia .
Uganda ,played 3 friendly games in which all were draws ,2-2 draw against Sudan ,1-1 with Cameroon and a 0-0 against Mali.
The squad is expected to connect to Annaba ,Algeria on Wednesday before the final tournament.
Uganda are participating at their sixth consecutive CHAN tournament after previous editions in 2020 ,2018 ,2016 ,2014 ,and 2011.
